Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Steven George Ganim. Steven was born on March 8, 1975 and died on July 10, 2024 at the age of 49.
Steven touched many people’s lives throughout the years and still maintained close friendships dating back to his elementary, high school and college years. Ever present in his life - with love, support and encouragement - were his parents, Lee (1937 - 2020) and Roseann, along with his younger brothers, Daniel, Gregory (Megan) and Dominic. He also had great pleasure in spending time with his nephews and niece, Christian, Bentley and Alexis. The strong bond and love for his family was evident as he worked alongside them for many years at their family restaurant in Key Largo, Ganim’s Kountry Kitchen.
Steven received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from St. Thomas University in Miami.
Steven had many great influencers and mentors throughout his professional career, notably Dominic Cianciolo. It is because of him that he had a successful law practice, Ganim Law Group, for the past 5 years. In his own words, Steven said “I am an attorney today because of two men that I have respected and admired from childhood until this very day. Honest, hard-working people that were/are excellent attorneys and even better men. The first mentor in my life was my father’s best friend for several decades. Our families were particularly close, and I called him Uncle Dominic. The second individual was also a close friend of the family, James Lupino. He assumed Uncle Dominic’s practice after his passing and expanded and cultivated the practice over the following years. Both men had a major influence on my life and serve as quintessential examples of what a lawyer and a man should be.”
A celebration to honor Steven’s life will take place on Saturday, August 3 in Jupiter, Florida. He will be interred at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, next to his dad, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you make donations to the Brian Muha Foundation by clicking the In Memory of Steven Ganim link.
