Iona Dorothy Headley (also affectionally known as Pearl Reid) passed away at the age of 91 on Saturday, July 30, 2022, in Delray Beach, Florida. She was born on November 27, 1930, in Westmoreland, St. James in her native Barbados. Her parents were Louisa Reid, and Leonard Johnson. She married her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Victor Headley, on August 15, 1964. While living in Barbados, Iona was a former active member of St Silas Anglican Church. She immigrated to Delray Beach, Florida with her family, on October 29, 1977.

Iona’s memory will be cherished by her loving sisters Valderine, Norma and Eula, and seven loving and dedicated children: Coral Marshall, Nigel Reid, David Reid (Omell Reid), Clevis Headley, Owen Headley, Jacqueline Headley (Matthew Hinds), and Carolanne Kellman. Iona is also survived by two loving stepchildren: Yvonne Whitney (Sylvan Whitney) and Kenneth Carrington.

She was preceded in death by her husband Victor and by her four sons: Peter Reid, Perry Headley, Sephnie Reid, and Timothy Reid. She was blessed with ten loving grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a loving and nurturing circle of now sorrowful relatives and devoted friends in Barbados, Canada, England, and the United States.
